A young man, who pleaded guilty to raping two women in the East End, learned how long he will spend behind bars.
A judge sentenced 20-year-old Marvin Sevilla-Rosales to 25 years to life behind bars. He pleaded guilty in April to first-degree rape, predatory sexual assault and conspiracy to commit murder.
Prosecutors say both of the violent crimes happened last summer. One of the victims was attacked in an apartment after he was taken into custody. Prosecutors said Sevilla-Rosales plotted to have one of his victims killed, so she wouldn’t testify against him.
Assistant District Attorney Julie Hahn says it was one of the worst cases she has ever been on.
Julie Hahn, Assistant District Attorney, said, "It's probably one of the worst sex cases I've ever had. It was a very, very horrible case. It was a very emotional case and just very horrific and the incidents that occurred, what the women endured at the hands of this one individual."
Hahn gives police a lot of credit for catching the East End rapist so quickly.
