A Rochester man pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to making a threatening remark concerning President Obama. He also pleaded guilty to resisting and impeding Secret Service agents.

Christopher Ludwig, 31, of Rochester, is charged with resisting arrest and impeding officers.

The Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany H. Lee, who is handling the case, says Ludwig called the Monroe County Board of Elections and made a threatening remark concerning President Barack Obama on April 26. Officials say when special agents with the U.S. Secret Service went to Ludwig’s home, he forcibly resisted and impeded efforts to place him under arrest.

Ludwig will be sentenced in September. He faces a year in prison and a fine of $100,000.
