The Pittsford community is remembering the life of a beloved teacher and coach who passed away unexpectedly.

A benefit concert was held at the Perinton Park Amphitheater Friday for the family of Jason DeJoy. DeJoy passed away in January. He was a social studies teacher at Barker Road Middle School and a highly respected cross country coach at Mendon High School.

The concert was organized by students and teachers who wanted to honor DeJoy's legacy.
