Providing a free education for the men and women who save lives.

Volunteer firefighters are now being offered full tuition reimbursement through SUNY community colleges.

The Firemen's Association of the State of New York says it's offering to pay back 100-percent of tuition costs for volunteer firefighters to get an associate's degree so long as they maintain good grades and fulfill service requirements at a volunteer fire company.

The program covers all 30 SUNY community colleges.
