Officials to designate today "Frederick Douglass Day"

Honoring one of Rochester’s famous residents -- abolitionist Frederick Douglass. At a ceremony today, city officials will designate today Frederick Douglass Day.

The public is invited to a ceremony at 8 p.m. at the Frederick Douglass monument at the Highland Park Bowl.

Local religious leaders and musical groups will perform at tonight's ceremony.
