Gates woman pleads guilty to first-degree manslaughter

A Gates woman, who was arrested for stabbing a man to death, has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter.

Police say Amber Favasuli stabbed 60-year-old Leonard Johnson several times in his apartment on St. Paul Street on August 29, 2013. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he later died. Two young children were present in the apartment at the time of the murder.

Favasuli will be sentenced on July 8. She will remain in the Monroe County Jail until sentencing.
