It was a frightening situation for some Rochester residents after police say a drunk driver caused a car to crash into a front porch Monday.

Investigators say 41-year-old Torrence Dyck of Irondequoit hit another vehicle around 11:30 p.m., sending it careening into a porch on Myrtle Street off of Lyell Avenue. Officials say Dyck left the scene but officers were able to later locate him. He is charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

The driver of the other vehicle, 56-year-old Reginald Young of Rochester, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say no one inside the home was injured.
