A 23-year-old man is facing burglary charges in Canandaigua.

Police say David Fivie broke into two homes early Sunday morning and took property. Officials say Fivie gave police a false written statement during the course of the investigation.

Police believe Fivie also entered several unlocked vehicles in the West Avenue/West Gibson Street area and stole property. Anyone who believes their vehicle may have been entered is asked to call police at 585-394-3311.

Fivie is being held in the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail.
