Another vehicle was hit by something while driving. This time, it happened on Route 104 in Webster. Police say it is too soon to tell if this is connected to the other reports of cars being hit while driving, but they aren't ruling anything out.

Investigators say just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, a driver was going east on 104. As he went over the Gravel Road overpass, something hit his window. Investigators found nothing inside the van, but they did take it in for testing.

State Police were out searching for evidence along a bike path that runs along Route 104. People who live in the area say this investigation is too close to home.

Earl Conkin said, “When we pulled into the driveway, there were probably six or eight state trooper cars under the bridge here and they were all outside talking to each other. I was like, ‘Aww, man, I wonder what is going on?’”

It would be hours before Earl Conkin learned that troopers were just yards away looking for anything connected to the damage to the car.

Conkin said, “Now it is kind of getting closer to home and it makes you concerned. It ridiculous, it is so stupid. I mean God forbid they hit a kid.”

Sue and Tim Terhar didn't hear the news until News10NBC told them while they were out for their evening walk.

Sue Terhar said, “We walk on the bike every single night and we usually never see anyone on the bike path. It is concerning no matter where it is because we are all out after work enjoying the weather and you have to worry about that. We send our kids down there too because it is a place to be off the road.”

People who live in the area say they hope the fact that the car window was intact will give police leads to find whoever is doing this.

Conkin said, “It would be nice if they caught him, hopefully, if and when they do catch whoever it is, they will be penalized, so someone won’t want to follow and do the same.”

Police say they do have a few leads in these reports, but are asking anyone with information on any of the incidents to call 911.
