Two local entrepreneurs faced a test in Washington today. They competed for thousands of dollars in college scholarships and a chance to audition for the TV show “Shark Tank”!

Those two businessmen are McQuaid students Riley Benner and Luke Zaremski. They went head-to-head with other young entrepreneurs at a small business summit to present their reversible neck-tie business, Phoenix Haberdashery.

The two teens won the regional semifinals for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.

If you are interested in purchasing a reversible tie, the cotton version sells for $35 and the silk ones sell for $100. They can be purchased at Parkleigh on Park Avenue.

Another local teenager pitched his business at the competition too. Noah Corette, of Hilton, makes hand crafted duck calls.

The winners will get college scholarships and a chance to appear on "Shark Tank". The winners will be announced in Washington Thursday.
