Three charged with robbery in Geneva incident

Three people from Geneva are facing charges after police say they beat a man and stole his money. It happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday on North Genesee Street in Geneva.

Police say 19-year-old Gian-Carlos Matos-Montes, 17-year-old Anthony Terry and a juvenile beat a 26-year-old man and stole his money. Investigators say after the incident the suspects tried to run but officers were able to catch them and take them into custody.

Matos-Montes and Terry are being held in the Ontario County Jail. Investigators say the 15-year-old’s charges will be dealt with separately at a later date.
