Rochester Police are searching for the suspects who shot a man in an attempted robbery on Rochester's north side. Police say the shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, 20-year-old Francisco Gonzalez of Brighton stopped at the intersection of Hoff Street and Avenue D when a second car pulled up. Investigators say two suspects got out of their car, shot Gonzalez in the upper body and leg and then drove off. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where doctors say he is expected to survive.
