A Canandaigua man, who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two children, now faces 20 years in prison and 20 years of post-release supervision.

Thirty-year-old Joshua Bartholomew was sentenced Wednesday in Ontario County Court. According to County Assistant District Attorney James Ritts, Bartholomew pleaded guilty to first-degree course of sexual contact against a child; first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Our news partners at the Messenger Post tell us the courtroom was charged with emotion as Bartholomew’s victims, ages nine and 12, read statements describing how the abuse had impacted their lives.
