For one week, the best young female golfers in the country have taken their swings in Rochester. Friday was the final round of the Rolex Junior Championship at the Country Club of Rochester.

Girls from as far away as Hawaii have come to play in the Rolex Girls Junior Championship. The winner came from as nearly as far.

The leader through the first three rounds has been 14-year-old Elizabeth Wang. Wang shot a 71 and finished three over. Amy Lee put the pressure on, but came up just short. Lee finished plus four. Pittsford native Christine Schmitt shot a 78 and finished plus 35.

Following the final round, the tournament director said they’d love to bring the tournament back to Rochester sometime in the future.
