An Orleans County school district is reminding parents not to let their children bring toy guns to school.

Officials in the Albion Central School District sent a letter home to parents saying a BB gun was confiscated from a student while on the bus Monday. District officials say while the student never threatened or shot anyone, he will still be disciplined by the school. The letter states that a number of students purchased the realistic looking toy guns during the Albion Strawberry Festival this past weekend.

The warning comes just days after police say a 13-year-old from Albion accidentally shot his nine-year-old brother in the arm.
