A nine-year-old boy from Pittsford is in Washington, D.C. is being honored for working to make his community a better place.
Jack Sullivan, one of our local ESL Jefferson Award winners, has been invited to the national ceremony.
He lost his cousin, Catherine, in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. In her memory Jack started "Catherine’s Peace Team." The goal is to help build an animal sanctuary in her Connecticut hometown named after her. It is close to breaking ground thanks to the hard work of Jack and the generosity of people here and around the world.
