Nurse sentenced for falsifying records

A judge sentenced a Rochester-area nurse Wednesday to three years of probation for falsifying patient records. Lisa Labadee must also surrender her nursing license.

Labadee pleaded guilty to willful violation of health laws.

She lied on medical records and indicated that she gave medication to a patient that never received it. An investigation by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the state attorney general’s office found Labadee also falsely documented blood sugar level levels for four patients.

“Today’s sentencing is the latest example of our office holding negligent caregivers accountable,” said Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. “When families entrust nursing facilities to care for their loved ones, they expect that proper treatment will be administered.”
