The Rochester City School District is ending its school year a day early.

In a letter sent out to parents, superintendent Bolgen Vargas says the last day of classes for kindergarten through 8th grade students will be next Wednesday, June 25 instead of Thursday, June 26. The letter states that RCSD staff requested to spend Thursday closing up their classrooms. It also notes that high school students will not be in classes next Thursday because of Regents exams.

Superintendent Vargas goes on to say that students received more classroom time this year because of extended school days and the elimination of early dismissals.
