Business leaders and child advocates came together Thursday morning to discuss the importance of early education.

The Child Care Council is encouraging businesses to be more invested in education. Meetings today at the Strathallan examined if today's children will be prepared to be tomorrow's employees and what can be done to better support them.

Scope View Strategic Advantage President Bill Millett said, “Right now our academic performance is mediocre at best, we're middle of the pack, that does not bode well for a global future if we don't do anything about it

In addition to boosting the workforce, Millett says that well-educated children are less likely to get into trouble with the law.
