A familiar voice to Buffalo broke down practice for the Bills today. Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly made his first appearance at One Bills Drive since his treatment ended. Kelly broke down the huddle today saying, " Playoffs on 3...1...2...3 playoffs!"
It was only one practice and only one huddle but for a brief moment Jim Kelly was worry free and back at the place he loves...the football field. Kelly addressed the team, "
One thing that I noticed about Buffalo, New York, how everybody comes together. When somebody is struggling, there's always somebody to pull them together."
And today this group of bills embraced a distressed member of their family. First-Round Draft Pick Sammy Watkins says, "
Everybody was engaged, the coaches were fired up, the players were fired up. There was a lot of trashing talking, we had a great day just because he came out there. And I felt like it gave us some energy." Kelly said,"
A new start, a new era in the Buffalo Bills. Now you're going to see what its like to play in January." Buffalo native Mike Williams added,
I'm not a little girl that brought a tear to my eye that is a legend it was a joy to see him out there talking and walking around and to come and talk to us and to say the things he said it was like a joy."
