Officials are taking extra steps to make sure students are safe while attending classes. On Friday, the Monroe Community College campus in Brighton will close at noon as local law enforcement agencies practice a safety drill in the event of an active gunman on the campus. Officials from the City of Rochester and Monroe County, along with Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn and Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks will be on hand to answer question before the drill. All programs at the MCC Brighton campus will shut down at for the drill.
