Assembly legalizes sale of firework sparklers

Created: 06/20/2014 8:05 AM WHEC.com

Your Fourth of July may have gotten a whole lot brighter.

The Assembly has voted to legalize the sale of firework sparklers and other sparkling devices to people over 18 years old but you can only but them between June 1 and July 15 or from December 26 through New Year’s Day. Other fireworks are still against the law.

That bill still has to be signed off by the governor he vetoed a similar bill in 2011.
