"PERS" transmitter recalled due to battery issue

Created: 06/20/2014 2:16 PM WHEC.com

Nearly 175,000 Linear "Personal Emergency Reporting System Transmitters" are being recalled because the batteries used in the transmitters can fail to emit a low battery warning. That means users think it's working when it may not be.

The "PERS" transmitters can be worn around the neck on the wrist or as a belt clip.

The company is offering a free replacement for the product. Click here for more information.
