He's a seventh grader that doesn't mind jumping into action to care for others and that's why he has won the Do the Right Thing award!
Edwin Trinidad was nominated by his assistant principal for coming to the aid of a fellow classmate. We're told Edwin administered first aid on a student who had just been hit in the head with a can. Edwin says the student started seriously bleeding above his eye and he says he couldn't just sit by and watch. He told us today that helping others is something he learned from his dad. “My dad is just a caring dude. Every time he takes care of me and my brother by himself. My brother is in a wheelchair and he has to lift him up every day to take care of him. So that's where I get my sympathy from.”

Congratulations to Edwin!
