A Rochester man is facing multiple charges after deputies in Wayne County say he stole thousands of dollars worth of scrap metal from a Williamson business.

Deputies say 45-year-old Rodney Shipman broke into the boiler company "Refractory Maintenance" on Route 104 in May and June. Deputies say he took more than $5,000 worth of scrap metal. Investigators say Shipman is facing petit and grand larceny charges. Deputies say Shipman was arraigned in Town of Sodus court.

He was released and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
