The Bivona Child Advocacy Center held its tenth annual golf tournament at Midvale Country Club in Penfield Monday.

A record 188 golfers signed up for the tournament, which provides critical funding for services to children who have been sexually or physically abused.

Senator Joe Robach was on hand for the event.

Senator Joe Robach, (R) NYS 56th District, said, “Bivona is such a great place for such a terrible subject. Obviously, the goal is to make sure no child goes through abuse, but we know it happens and here we have an organization that helps kids and families get through what may be their biggest and most awful challenge.”

Organizers say this event helps to raise about $60,000 for Bivona each year.
