Police ID man shot on North Goodman Street

A Rochester man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after a shooting on North Goodman Street and Diringer Place Monday evening.

Police were called to North Goodman Street and Diringer Place just after 7:20 p.m. Monday for the report of a man shot. When they arrived on scene, they found 25-year-old Demarcus Canty of Rochester with a gunshot wound to his leg. Police say he was shot near the corner of North Goodman Street and Diringer Place and then ran down the street.

Canty was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with what police say are non-life threatening injuries. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call 911.
