New developments in the proposal for a casino in Seneca County as officials release a new name and design for the project.

Developers from Wilmorite are looking into calling the multi-million dollar casino Lago Casino and Resort. The casino would offer a premium hotel, complete with a spa and restaurants focusing on New York State cuisine. Officials also say the price of the project would now cost $425-million, an increase of $75-million more than originally anticipated.

Developers say as a result of feedback on the project from local leaders and residents, they've lowered the height of the hotel and parking garage, as well as moved the hotel further away from homes and farms. The plan still needs approval from the state gaming commission.

Officials say 1,800 permanent jobs and 2,100 construction jobs will be created.
