You can start wearing Android on your wrist.
Google is hosting its two-day developer conference in San Francisco. As part of a nearly three-hour opening presentation yesterday, Google gave more details about Android Wear. It's a version of its smartphone operating system customized for wearable gadgets like smartwatches. And you don't have to wait to buy one.
The company announced three new smartwatches running Android Wear. The LG G and the Samsung Gear Live are available for order now. A third one, Motorola's Moto 360, is coming later this summer. The LG watch is listed at $229 on the Google Play store, while the Samsung goes for $199. Both are listed as shipping early next month.
