State police say one person has died in a three-vehicle crash on the New York State Thruway.
Troopers say the accident occurred around 10 a.m. Thursday in the Town of Tyre in Seneca County between exits 40 and 41.
The two westbound lanes were closed while crews cleared the roadway and the injured were transported by helicopter to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
There are no further details on those involved, the extent of their injuries, and the cause of the crash.
Westbound lanes are now open again, but state police say motorists face extended delays.
