After an eight day run, it all comes to a close on Saturday. It’s the final night to head downtown for the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival.
Thousands of people are expected to line the streets in the east end. There will be food, music and drinks to go around.
Event Organizer Marc Iacona says the Jazz Fest is an important event in Rochester.
“It’s all about the quality of life. That’s the main reason why I got involved in this. We’ve brought something great to Rochester and made it a destination for nine days. We’ve done that. I always hear that people want to play here next year,” said Iacona.
Saturday’s performances include Prime Time Funk at 7 p.m. at the East Avenue and Alexander Street stage. George Thorogood and The Destroyers are performing at 9 p.m. at the East Avenue and Chestnut Street stage.
