A new survey found half of Americans say they couldn't go one day without a smartphone.

Some people who responded to the Bank of America study found that staying connected is more important than personal hygiene.

In the survey, 90 percent of people ranked their smartphone as important as deodorant. Surveyed people born 1980 or later ranked the importance of their cell phone above the importance of a toothbrush.
