A longtime fixture in local morning radio is out of a job. News10NBC has learned that Chet Walker is no longer a part of WHAM 1180. That was confirmed by Aaron Trimmer, Program Director with Clear Channel Media, which owns WHAM.

For many years, Walker teamed up with his former co-host, Beth Adams, who was previously let go. Walker had been with the radio station almost 35 years. His last radio broadcast was on Friday.

Clear Channel’s Trimmer did not provide News10NBC with a reason, but said, “We appreciate all of his contributions during his time with us and wish him well.”

WHAM says it will unveil its new plan for mornings soon.
