A Honeoye man is facing charges after deputies say he drove past them while drinking an alcoholic beverage on Tuesday.
Ontario County Sheriff's Deputies stopped 33-year-old Michael Ackroyd on Gulick Road around 7:45 p.m. after they saw him drinking while driving. Deputies say while Ackroyd was not intoxicated, he was driving with a license that had been suspended ten times in the past. Deputies say Ackroyd was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, as well as consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
Ackroyd was arraigned in Richmond Town Court and is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
