Two people injured by transformer on Greece Athena campus

A member of a construction company and a Greece Central School District employee were injured by a transformer. 

This happened on the Greece Athena Middle and High School campus.

Police say the two men were checking out the transformer for live wires when the transformer discharged electricity, causing injuries to both men.

Police say the two suffered burns and were transported to the hospital. Their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The incident is under investigation.
