Teen convicted of shooting RPD officer moves to correctional facility

The teen, who was convicted of shooting a Rochester Police officer in the back of the head, has been moved from his juvenile detention center to a correctional facility.

Tyquan Rivera has been moved from his juvenile detention center to the Elmira Correctional Facility.  He is serving a three and a half to 10 year sentence for attempted murder and assault.

Rivera was just 14-years-old when he was convicted of shooting Officer Anthony DiPonzio in the back of the head on Dayton Street in 2009.
