A part-time Canandaigua Police officer, accused of growing marijuana on his property, faces new charges.

Wayne Fenton is now charged with growing marijuana and criminal possession of marijuana. Fenton's wife, Rebecca Laware, faces the same charges.

Fenton is already suspended from the force and charged with assault after police say he attacked his wife. Officers say they found the drug-growing operation while investigating a domestic dispute at their home in May.

Police reports say the charges couldn't be pressed until the marijuana was processed.
