One woman took action Wednesday after she saw a dog left in a car at the Wegmans store on East Avenue in Rochester. Police say security officers found an woman upset when she noticed a dog in an empty car around 5:30 p.m.
Police say that the woman tried to break the car's window by hitting it with her shoe. Investigators say that security rushed to find the owner of the car, but the woman managed to break a window before the owner arrived. No one was ticketed or arrested.
News10NBC has learned the dog had been in the car for less than 30 minutes.
