Emergency crews responded to the Summerville Pier in Charlotte after a boat that struck the pier on Friday night.

Four people were hurt in the crash just after 10:30 p.m.

Members of the Coast Guard, firefighters, paramedics in multiple ambulances, and sheriff's deputies responded to the scene to aid in rescue operations.

Deputies say a 25-foot boat was headed west on Lake Ontario when it struck the pier.

Investigators say 47-year-old Dominic Antonucci suffered cuts to his face, 44-year-old Kim Antonucci broke her arm in the crash, 42-year-old Denise Godfrey cut her head and 21-year-old Stephanie Cavallaro suffered minor injuries. All four were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. The investigation is still ongoing and possible charges are pending.

This is the second time a boat has crashed into the Summerville Pier in less than three weeks. Four people were hurt when a boat crashed into the pier on June 19.
