A Holley man is dead after deputies say his car collided with a piece of farm equipment near the town of Bergen Sunday morning.

The Genesee County Sheriff's Office says they were called just after 2:30 a.m. to Route 19 north of the village of Bergen for the report of a car crash.

When deputies arrived they found 22-year-old Carmelo Rivera was driving his car southbound on Route 19 when his vehicle hit an OXBO brand pea harvester that was traveling northbound.

The crash is still under investigation and deputies say another car might have seen the crash. They ask they person to call the sheriff's office (345-3000) if they have any information.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by New York State Police, the Bergen Volunteer Fire Department and Mercy EMS.
