Two motorcyclists were taken to the hospital on Sunday night following an accident that involved multiple motorcycles at the Rochester-Greece line.

According to police, three motorcyclists were traveling northbound on Dewey Avenue when one motorcyclist sideswiped another, causing both of them to go down.

Police say one of the riders was a 31-year-old Rochester man who suffered a serious head injury.

Both victims were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Paul Colon witnessed the crash.

“I saw three motorcycles going down the road, and, for whatever reason, the last motorcycle ran into the middle one,” said Colon.

The 2600 block of Dewey Avenue was closed for several hours while police investigated the scene.
