A man with four prior drunken driving arrests is back behind bars after police say he knocked over a sign outside an upstate New York Home Depot store and then sped off while drunk.
The Utica Observer Dispatch reports Jason Hammond was arrested Friday after officers caught up with him in the parking lot of a nearby supermarket.
The 29-year-old recently left state prison after serving more than two years for a previous drunken driving conviction. Police say he didn't have a driver's license or a required ignition interlock.
The newspaper reports Hammond registered a blood-alcohol content of .13. He's jailed without bail pending a court appearance.
