Police ID two motorcyclists injured in Dewey Avenue crash

Two men in their 30’s were taken to the hospital Sunday night following a crash that involved multiple motorcycles.

Police tell News10NBC three motorcyclists were northbound on Dewey Avenue when 31-year-old Jason Zona of Rochester and 38-year-old Timothy Cherniss sideswiped one another. Zona suffered a serious head injury and Cherniss sustained minor injuries. Zona is listed in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Paul Colon witnessed the crash. He said, “I saw three motorcycles going down the road and for whatever reason, the last motorcycle ran into the middle one.”

The 2600 block of Dewey Avenue was closed for several hours while police investigated the scene.
