Buffalo Bills great Jim Kelly was on Rochester radio Tuesday morning. This comes ahead of his plans to visit Rochester next Tuesday for the Jim Kelly Football Clinic at St. John Fisher College.
In an interview on The Wease Show on 95.1 The Brew, the Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer discussed camp and his health following sinus cancer treatment. Kelly says he's lost 50 pounds and his hair since treatment and still has a feeding tube. “It’s a tube that comes out my stomach. I've been eating those canned foods for a long time but I just did start eating regular food. I ate some scrambled eggs, I had a couple chicken wings and I 'm slowly but surely getting back to eating real food but I’m not quite there yet.”
Kelly has been out of the hospital for nearly a month after completing his cancer treatment. Next month, doctors will perform tests to see if he is cancer free.
We're told he will make his first public appearance since beginning treatment at the 27th Annual Jim Kelly Football Camps at Sweet Home High School in Amherst this weekend.
