Rochester man charged with bank robbery in Irondequoit

A Rochester man is facing charges after Irondequoit Police say he robbed a bank Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the ESL Federal Credit Union on East Ridge Road around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday for a bank robbery.

Police say 54-year-old Sylvester W. Reed, of Rochester, passed a note to the teller, demanding money. A short time later, police found Reed at a nearby residence. 

Reed was taken into custody and charged with robbery and grand larceny. Reed was arraigned in Irondequoit Town Court and held without bail.
