Parrish Street in Canandaigua to close next week

Parrish Street will be closed for two days next week between South Pearl Street and the Thompson Hospital property for utility work related to a new medical office complex.

There will be no through traffic from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 14, and Tuesday, July 15, while utility work is completed for the second phase of Lakeside Medical Suites at 195 Parrish St. Construction began in February and is slated for completion in fall 2014, according to the contractor in charge of the project, CEO of Taylor the Builders Jim Taylor.

Detour signs and an electronic message board will alert drivers of the shutdown and the alternate route, according to the city, and all entrances on Parrish Street will be available from West Street.
