A first-of-its-kind survey by the American Red Cross is almost finished.
The study, which looks at mobile homes across Western New York, will be used to speed up emergency services to residents following a large scale disaster. The information gathered will be stored in an electronic database and available to all Red Cross responders following a disaster.
This is the second part of a four-year project by the Rochester Red Cross, where volunteers collected data on all apartment complexes in Monroe and Western Ontario Counties.
