For nearly three decades, Jim Kelly has been there to greet young football players at the kickoff of his annual football camp. Considering what the hall of famer has been through, in recent months, welcoming the campers this year would be more of a challenge.
At the beginning of last month, friends, family and former players gathered at Terry Hills Golf Course to carry on a 28 year tradition. This year, for the first time in those 28 years, Jim Kelly could not attend his celebrity golf classic.
However, that wasn't the case for his football camp. On Wednesday, former Buffalo Bills great felt well enough to attend his annual youth football camp. The camp will run for the next five days at Sweet Home High School in Buffalo. Kelly will be joined by his former receiver Andre Reed and current Bills wide out Sammy Watkins.
Kelly will also be in attendance for the one day clinic in Rochester on July 15.
