Applebee’s is going tech-free at least one day a week.
Applebee’s is setting aside one day per week to ensure that customers have a quiet dining experience. It's called "No Tech Tuesday" and is designed to keep you free of your mobile device while you dine.
However, the rest of the week will be an all-out attempt to be tech-friendly.
The casual dining chain plans to install 100,000 tablets on every table at more than 1,800 restaurants nationwide by the end of the year.
Customers will be able to pay for their meal and order additional items right from the tablet.
