The Rochester Home Builders Association’s Homearama returned to Rochester on Friday after a three year hiatus.
Those looking to build or remodel can check out seven, beautifully decorated homes and connect with contractors to make their dreams come true.
“I’m getting a lot of ideas. I can see dollar signs going past my eyes. The kitchens and bathrooms are beautiful. I have a lot of new ideas. The whole atmosphere is very nice,” said Jeannine Fulkerson of Webster.
The newly built and beautifully decorated homes are on Watersong Trail in Penfield.
“People get a lot of tremendous ideas about remodeling or redecorating their existing homes, so it’s not just about new home buying,” said Rick Herman, Rochester Home Builders Association.
Homearama features culinary demonstrations, wine tasting, entertainment, new energy efficient products and more than 50 vendors.
Herman says this year there’s also a strong focus on outdoor living.
“We have patios, decks, pools and spas. We have an outdoor kitchen with a patio,” Herman said.
More than 1,800 people attended Homearama on Friday, and many say they are happy the event is back.
“I believe I came to one several years ago, and I really enjoyed it then, so I’m glad it’s back. It gives me a lot of ideas for when we build our house,” said Stefani Szalay-Domm.
Homearama continues through July 20.
